Congratulations to the 2022 Nobel Prizes laureates

The Nobel Prizes were announced this week. Every October, six prizes are awarded to reward an individual's or organisation's significant contribution in a specific field. Prizes are given for medicine, physics, chemistry, economic science, literature and peace work. Science Europe warmly felicitates all the laureates.

Science Europe Second Workshop on Spreading Excellence and Widening Participation in European Programmes

What can countries do to reduce the R&I disparities in Europe? How can national and European funding be used in a complementary way to widen participation in European programmes? What national measures have been developed to boost brain circulation? On 27 September Science Europe members met to address these important questions and exchange on successful initiatives.

Science Europe Contribution to ESOF 2022

At ESOF 2022 (13–16 July, Leiden, the Netherlands), Science Europe representatives will participate in four sessions. Besides, Sciences Europe is co-organising the Presidents’ reception with EuroScience. The programme also features a number of Science Europe Member Organisations.

Science Europe Membership Expands to Forty

As of 18 May, Science Europe counts 40 Member Organisations from 30 European countries. On that date, the General Assembly unanimously approved the applications of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA) and the Ukrainian National Research Foundation (NRFU).

First Diamond Open Access Community Webinar

Together with cOAlition S, OPERAS, and ANR, Science Europe organised the first webinar for the organisations and individuals who endorsed the 'Action Plan for Diamond Open Access'. Since its launch, it has been endorsed by over 80 organisations and more than 50 individuals.
